Introduction

The reason why i choose this issue as my topic was because gang violence is a big issue  in my community that not a lot of people acknowledge that it's an issue until it happens to one of someone close to them. Having life experience i lost almost 3 friends do to gang violence somewhere just because of how they looked and others for just sitting outside their porch. Just to think that you can't be outside your house and be safe do others people's problems. 

For me living in the this time period i will never forget the first time i witnessed :gang violence” it i was in the 4th grade and my brother had to drop me off and pick me up since we had move house and that afternoon was when it all started remembering that my brother had to pick me up off my feet and run with me in his arms because someone was chasing him yelling out names i wasn't familiar with and i was confused once we got home he explained everything to think that someone wanted to hurt someone else because they didn't want to be part of their group was the worst and not caring if they had a kid on there hands to me that meant that the “Gang life” was everything to some people.
